Italian heritage parade 2023
at St Peter & Paul Church North Beach San Francisco October 8, 2023
The annual Italian Heritage Parade was celebrated by many attendees that line up the North Beach Area streets of San Francisco. The Knights of Columbus are the oldest participants of the Parade and escorted the Parade Float of Christopher Columbus. The Parade was attended by over 20 Honor guards from various Assemblies in the Bay Area. Our very own State Deputy Greg Marracq, State Treasurer Ken Rose, State Warden TW Starkweather and Vice Supreme Master Tim Fukuda rode in vehicles as part of the Knight of Columbus contingent.
BAY AREA ROSARY RALLY
at Cathedral of St Mary of the Assumption October 7, 2023
About 600 people attended the Rosary Rally Mass at the Cathedral of St Mary of the Assumption. A Eucharistic Procession was led by Archbishop Cordilleone through the Tenderloin District of San Francisco to St Bonaface. Knights of Columbus from various Councils provided security during the veneration of the relics and escort during the procession.
ST padre pio festival
at St Francis of Assisi Shrine September 24, 2023
Five relics of St Padre Pio was present for veneration at the St Francis of Assisi Shrine. A mass was held at 11am followed by a procession from St Francis of Assisi Shrine to St Peter and Paul. A blessing over the attendees occurred for all the participants at St Peter and Paul, then the relics were processed back to St Francis of Assisi Shrine. A total of 300 people participated. Eight Knights of Columbus from various Councils provided security during the veneration of the relics and escort during the procession.
oakland eucharistic revival
at The Cathedral of Christ the Light September 16, 2023
Eucharistic Revival Mass and Procession with Bishop Barber at the Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland. The Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Honor Guard from St Francis Chapter participated in the mass and procession.
FEAST OF THE HOLY CROSS
at St Peter Church September 14, 2023
Feast of the Holy Cross Mass and Procession with Archbishop Cordilleone at St Peter's Church. There was a procession around the Mission Area with 300 people. The Knights of Columbus from various councils within the St Francis Chapter participated by carrying the cross and providing security/escort for the participants. We had about 30 Knights who participated in the event.
4th degree exemplification
at St Mary's Cathedral on Sept 2, 2023
We had (49) Forty-Nine 4th Degree Candidates and 120 Attendees. Included in our candidates were the Very Reverend Fr Kevin Kennedy - Pastor/Rector of St Mary's Cathedral and Fr. Jerald Geronimo - Parochial Vicar of St Mary's Cathedral. The Exemplification was hosted by Our Lady of Guadalupe Assembly 3803 from St. Mary's Cathedral.
